Week 2 of winter training and what a surprise, it's gone wrong. After a great brick session on Sunday and a surprisingly good swim on Monday, Tuesday I woke up with blocked nose, sore chest & throat and training thrown out the window, a week of recovery ahead, as I'm writing this on Saturday 21st I'm planning a full return on Monday 23rd with a steady 6hrs planned. Now where's the bloody tissues gone...... I know it's bizarre that I'm talking about winter training mid September but, as I cancelled all my races for this year I decided that I would take my break early then have a long steady build up to Lanzarote Ironman17th May 2014. I know it's a long way off but this will enable me to work on my weaknesses. So as a motivational tool for me I will add a weekly update with my training hours. As I have previously said I have two massive weak areas that I have to improve in. 1) Weight loss - I will never be fast unless I dump the excess podge 2) become a runner, once again, point 1will also help with this. Wish me luck... 9th-15th Sept 13 Total hrs 6:35 5 bike 5 Run 1 weights & Core After a disappointing 2013 race/training season I decided to take my end of season break early. I wanted to use this period to concentrate on my Coaching Protégés, and look for an alternative approach to my winter training, I can't afford to move somewhere sunny over the winter months (as much as I would like to) so the only option I have is to renovate my Garage, as a complete non DIY-er this is a massive project to me. when I say renovate, I mean try and make it weather proof, and remove the spiders that have been living there for many years, I will miss their company during my Turbo sessions (but not looking over my shoulder to make sure they diddent climb all over me) Ill add some pictures, of the progress. There comes a time when no matter how much you want something, it's just not within your grasp, I'm not saying give up just take a step back, Reassess, Rebuild. I have reached that point. Over the past few months I have had a few medical issues, tooth abcess after abcess wears you down mentally and physically. So I Have decided to cancel all races for 2013, take the time to sort the issues, improve my weaknesses and go into 2014 season stronger than ever. You may have noticed the lack of movement and the downtime that this site has been experiencing recently, this was due to the previous web address being given to someone else… so I have re-launched the site under www.lpwcoaching.com And it appears that all systems are go, Below we have a sneak peak at the new Logo ides for LPW. i am looking to incorporate these on to new design cycling clothing as a way to keep kit available quicker and keep costs to a minimum, as soon as we have more details i will let you all know.
